Bulacan Agricultural State College – Institute of Arts and Sciences held a seminar-workshop on Formulation and Packaging of Research, Development, and Extension Proposals last April 21, 2022 at the Farmers Training Center, 8:00 am – 5:00pm.
Dr. Leslie Jorge-Acain, chairperson of Bataan Peninsula State University Research and Development office, served as the resource speaker of the seminar for the new members of the IAS faculty.
Among the topics that she discussed are research processes and proposal preparation, development of research and development project framework, and choosing appropriate research design for social research.
“In research, you must ask yourself why are you doing this? Dapat interested ka rin sa topic mo, mahirap tapusin ang isang bagay na hindi ka interesado”, Dr. Jorge-Acain explained.
Further, she mentored the faculty members in writing and packaging research and development proposals and on methodologies for RDE projects.
During the discussion on research writing, “dapat nating enjoy-in ang research” Dr. Jorge-Acain said.
Attendees of the seminar presented their draft concept proposals as workshop output where Dr. Acain gave her comments and suggestions for improvement.
